[Give, offer, provide & supply #1]
These four words look easy. In reality, they are hard to use correctly. This is due to their similarity and their Mandarin translations.
貌似簡單，但是要用的得體，有一定的難度。
First, we’ll start with “give” and “offer”:
What’s the difference between:
“I went to his house and he OFFERED me a coffee.” and
“I went to his house and he GAVE me a coffee.”
Hint: One of these words is a one-step (步驟) process, and the other a two-step process.
